Postdoctoral positions in plant biology and environmental adaptation ....
10 postdoctoral positions (full-time, duration 2-3 years) are opened in the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Environmental Adaptation ENVIRON. The main focus of the CoE is to address environmental adaptation from molecular mechanisms to ecosystem functioning, and feedbacks between plant and ecosystem adaptation and climate change. The CoE involves five research teams from three Estonian universities: Plant Physiology and Biosphere-atmosphere Interactions (Ülo Niinemets, Estonian Univ. of Life Sciences), Plant Signal Research Group (Hannes Kollist, Univ. of Tartu), Plant-pathogen Interactions (Erkki Truve, Tallinn Technical Univ.), Plant Ecophysiology (Anu Sõber, Univ. of Tartu) and Landscape Ecology & Ecotechnology (Ülo Mander, Univ. of Tartu), altogether involving over 50 senior staff members and more than 40 PhD students. To meet the CoE objectives, excellent lab facilities are available, and further large-scale ecosystem infrastructures such as SMEAR are developed.
